Once the grand home of a corporate pioneer, the Black Dolphin Inn has been lovingly restored for a new generation. Today the Dolphin attracts a wonderful mix of smart, stylish, accomplished and unique people as it once did famously in the 1950s. Enjoy the easy flow of sultry air and stylish hospitality through our mid-century modern interiors, courtyards and dock.

Black Dolphin B&B is a beautiful and charming respite in this crazy world we live in. On the waterfront in New Smyrna Beach, quiet location with many dolphin visiting their dock area. Accommodations were 5 star across the board. The owners of this lovely property made us feel at home and we were treated as if we were the only quests there - of course we were not. We had a delicious hot breakfast freshly prepared each morning. The beach is a short drive away and there are many good restaurants in the historic downtown area. We enjoyed our stay here so much and hope to return soon. Highly recommend.

"The Black Dolphin Inn Deserves 10 Stars !!!"
The Black Dolphin Inn is a combination of lovely Spanish charm and elegance, from the luxurious rooms to the amazing atmosphere and gourmet breakfast !!! The owners, Brett and Sheila made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their daughter MacKenzie [ an AWESOME chef ] and son Taylor were just as friendly and charming. After a long day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to sit on the dock and watch the dolphins. This was our first time here, but it certainly won't be our last !!!

“Mid-Century Modern Masterpiece”
The Black Dolphin Inn is by far the most exquisite B&B I've ever seen. Located across the street from the NSB intracoastal, this Spanish Mission-on the outside, meets perfectly executed Mid-Cen Mod on the inside. From the pristine white leather sofas in the lobby, to the fantastic white marble bar for breakfast, each room in this Inn has its own unique style.

“Felt Like Home (But Nicer)”
My wife and I came here for our One Year Anniversary. We stayed for a Friday and Saturday night. The room we had was on the lower floor with a view out into the Indian River. The room felt less like a hotel room and more like a bedroom (which I'm sure, it originally was). Everything was clean and the room was spacious. The staff is very accommodating and provides advice on where to go and what to see/eat. You won't have to go very far for breakfast, because the mother/daughter team does an excellent job.

“We Hated to Leave!”
OMG! I don't know where to start. Everything about the Black Dolphin Inn is perfect. We could not have had a more perfect getaway. The Inn itself is breathtaking and our room was so large and comfy and chic. Not one detail is overlooked. We had binoculars hanging up in the room next to the balcony overlooking the river. Even fell in love with the resident cat on the front porch! Kudos to the family; Sheila, Brett, Taylor and MacKenzie. You have done amazing things here. I want to be a permanent resident.

“Exceeded Our Expectations!”
My husband and I spontaneously booked this as we were driving south. Saw the great reviews and so glad we booked the Black Dolphin! Great location overlooking the river, beautiful renovations, warm and cozy atmosphere, quiet and relaxing, AMAZING breakfast by Mackenzie, fantastic and friendly staff (Patricia and Taylor), and wished our dog was traveling with us because two rooms are pet friendly. We'll be back for a longer stay next time!"
